Morgen and Otto Mail both put a calendar and tasks side by side, but Morgen has no inbox. Morgen is a planning calendar: it merges your calendars and task tools, and time-blocks your tasks with an AI Planner. Otto is a mail app with a calendar and tasks, on your existing Gmail or Outlook account. Its assistant drafts replies and books meetings, and it files mail too, all for your approval.
Otto is ours, so weigh our side. For deeper planning across many task tools, Morgen is the stronger pick. For a Morgen alternative that includes the inbox, that's Otto.
Where Morgen is stronger
Morgen's pricing page lists time blocking with an AI Planner, plus calendar automations. You also get booking pages and scheduling links, and unlimited calendar and task integrations. It names Notion, Todoist, Linear, ClickUp, Obsidian, Google Tasks and Microsoft To-Do among the task tools it connects to. Otto connects to Google Tasks and Microsoft To Do only, and it doesn't time-block your list for you.
Where Otto fits
Morgen is built around your calendars, but the pages we read don't describe an email client. In Otto the thread is where the work starts. Ask for the reply or the follow-up, or for a meeting, and Otto'll prepare it using the selected account's mail with its calendar and tasks. You'll approve the card before anything sends or books. See how Otto's assistant works.
