Notion Calendar and Otto Mail both give you a calendar over your Google or Outlook account, but they're built for different days. Notion Calendar is a free calendar app that shows your Notion database items next to your events. Otto is a mail app with a calendar and tasks, on your existing Gmail or Outlook account. Its assistant drafts and books for you, files mail too, and waits for your approval.
Otto is ours, so weigh our side. If your plans live in Notion, Notion Calendar fits that better. If you need a Notion Calendar alternative that includes the inbox, that's Otto.
Where Notion Calendar is stronger
Its product page says it syncs with Google, Outlook and Apple iCloud calendars. It shows Notion database items alongside events, and lets you edit those items by dragging them on the calendar. There are scheduling links too. It's free, and it runs on Mac and Windows, and on iPhone and Android. Otto doesn't read Notion databases.
Where Otto fits
The product page doesn't mention email, and it shows task due dates only as part of project timelines, not as a full task manager. Otto puts the inbox and the calendar, with a task list, in one app. Ask Otto to find a slot from a thread and it proposes the event on your connected calendar. You approve the card and it's booked. Tasks sync with Google Tasks or Microsoft To Do. See how Otto's assistant works.
Price and fit
Notion Calendar is free, and the Notion pricing page lists it under the Free plan. Otto Free also covers one connected account with core mail plus calendar and tasks, and an AI allowance. Plus is $6.99 a month and Pro is $19.99/month. You can run both: keep Notion Calendar for Notion planning and Otto for mail. Or pick one calendar so you aren't managing events in two places.
