Open Work → Meeting preferences for your mailbox. Set your local working days and hours, time zone, meeting length and time before and after each meeting. Saving preferences changes future proposals; it does not create or move a calendar event.
When Work prepares a meeting, it uses your saved preferences and checks your selected calendar. The proposal records the preferences used. If you edit them before scheduling, review a fresh proposal rather than assuming the old slot is still approved. The exact calendar event and attendees still need separate confirmation. Busy calendars can change; invitee availability is not known from your calendar alone.
Settings remain readable after a downgrade, while edits require an eligible plan. If no slot appears, check the mailbox's calendar permission, working window, buffers and busy events. See prepared work and .
