Notifications, alerts and daily briefs

Open Activity / Notifications to review updates, filter categories, mark notifications read or dismiss them. Reading a notification and reading its email are separate actions. Its link opens the relevant message, task, calendar event or settings page.

Delivery and quiet hours

In Settings → Alerts, enable new-mail notifications and allow permission in your browser or device settings. Choose which categories may alert you. Quiet hours pause delivery during your daily window; they do not delete incoming mail. Advanced sender/VIP and per-account rules require an eligible paid plan; basic alerts and quiet hours remain available on Free.

Morning brief and event reminders

Choose a morning-brief time and delivery option in Alerts. AI brief generation uses your AI agreement and plan allocation. Event reminders have their own switch and lead time. Time settings use your configured timezone. Review connected accounts and calendar permissions when expected events are missing.

Missing alerts

Use Send test notification first. Check Otto's controls, system permission, quiet hours, muted senders and device focus settings. Browser and native push registrations are separate; enabling one does not grant the other. A provider reconnection notice means sync or reminders may need renewed account permission.
