Email
Read receipts
ProOptionally see when a recipient opens an email you sent — opt-in per message, off by default.
Turn on a read receipt for a single message and Otto adds an invisible tracking pixel, then shows you on the Sent copy whether — and how many times — it was opened.
It's strictly opt‑in: off by default on every send, a Pro feature, and you choose it per message. Recipients aren't notified. In keeping with Otto's privacy stance, it won't register for privacy‑protected inboxes — including other Otto users, whose image proxy blocks tracking pixels — and it can tell you a message was opened, not which recipient opened it.
Ask Otto "did they open my email?" and it reads the same status back to you.
How to use it
- 1Compose a message. Open the composer and write your email as usual.
- 2Turn on the receipt. Open the Tracking control in the toolbar and flip on "Read receipt".
- 3Check the status. Open the Sent copy to see "Opened", or ask Otto "has it been read?".
Just ask Otto
“Did they open my email about the invoice?”“Has my last email been read?”
