See the outcome
A verified reply closes it; an overdue notice goes to an active assignee once.
In Work → Team, a Team admin can enable a response target for an authorized shared mailbox. Choose business days, local hours, time zone and the number of working minutes allowed for a reply. The target starts from an assigned thread's first new unanswered incoming message after enablement; a follow-up does not reset the clock. Reassigning a thread changes who sees it, not when the reply is due.
A verified human reply in the same thread closes that cycle. If another incoming message arrives later, it starts a new cycle. An overdue notice goes once to the current active assignee. Removed members cannot receive new target alerts. History distinguishes awaiting, met, overdue and disabled. Older conversations before activation are not retroactively marked overdue.
Response targets do not write replies or forward private mail. Pause the policy to stop new targets, then review retained history in Work. If a reply appears missing, open the source thread and check the linked inbound and sent evidence. See .
