Edit notes together, live
PlusInvite people into a note and write it together. Everyone sees changes as they happen, in rich text, Markdown and drawings.
Some notes are written by more than one person: the agenda you build with a client, the trip plan, the whiteboard from a call. Open the note, tap Share, and choose Edit together.
Invite by email. Type addresses and choose whether each person can edit or can view. People on Otto find the note under Shared with me in their notebook; everyone else gets an email from your own mailbox with a link that opens the note once they sign up. Otto never tells you who already uses it. Someone you haven't emailed or shared with before gets a request to join, decline or block.
Write at the same time. Every kind of note works live. In a Rich or Markdown note, two people can type in the same paragraph and both edits stay. In a drawing, each person's strokes, shapes and text appear for everyone as soon as the pen lifts; a text box someone is typing in is theirs until they finish, and undo only takes back your own work.
See who's here. Avatars in the note's header show who has it open, and a dot marks whoever is editing now. Comments and @mentions sit beside the note for everyone in it, and version history keeps the earlier text whoever changed it.
Stay in control. Change someone's access, remove them, or Stop sharing to turn it back into a private note as it stands. Anyone can leave a note shared with them.
Starting a shared note is part of Plus (up to 100 notes, 25 people each) and Pro (no limit on notes, 100 people each). Joining one is free on every plan.
